The quoted price includes:
All labour and construction time
Pattern drafting and design development
Standard fittings (typically 3–4, depending on complexity)
Fabric and haberdashery sourced by the designer (unless otherwise agreed)
Turnaround time for a custom garment typically ranges from 4 to 10 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design, the availability of materials, and scheduling of fittings.
Rush orders (less than 3 weeks) can sometimes be accommodated, depending on studio capacity, but may incur an additional rush fee. Please note that shorter timelines may limit the number of fittings and increase the risk of needing alterations after delivery — which will be billed separately.
To ensure the best result, I recommend booking your consultation as early as possible.
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking and begin work. This deposit secures your consultation time, design development, sourcing, and scheduling in the studio calendar. The balance is due before final delivery of the completed garment.
For higher-value commissions or longer timelines, payment plans may be arranged on request. These are discussed case-by-case and must be agreed upon in writing before work begins.
Please note: all deposits are non-refundable, and work will only commence once the deposit has been received.
Most bespoke garments require 3 to 4 fittings, depending on the design’s complexity:
Initial fitting — to fit the toile or sample garment.
Fabric fitting — to check the garment made in the final fabric, discuss any design details like appliqués or trims, and adjust the fit.
Final fitting — to try on the nearly finished garment, confirm the fit, and approve any finishing touches like hemming or embellishments.
(Optional) Additional fitting — if your garment is particularly complex, or if any last-minute tweaks are needed.
If your timeline is tight or you’re renting a garment, the number of fittings may be reduced, but please be aware that fewer fittings increase the chance of needing alterations after delivery, which will be charged separately.
If you live locally, we can arrange consultations at a mutually convenient location such as a coffee shop or other suitable venue. I offer a flexible, mobile atelier service—conducting fittings at your home or another location that suits you. This way, you enjoy the ease and comfort of a personalized fitting experience without leaving your space, while still receiving the attentive craftsmanship of bespoke tailoring..
For clients living further away, I can provide virtual fittings via video call. During these sessions, I guide you or a trusted helper through taking precise measurements and assessing the fit. I would send a basic toile (sample garment) in advance to support the process - please note this may affect the overall project cost. Please note that remote fittings carry a slightly higher risk of fit adjustments after delivery, which would be billed separately. I recommend allowing additional time to accommodate any necessary alterations to ensure the best possible result.
While I’m happy to create custom garments inspired by your favourite pieces, I do not replicate or copy existing designer work exactly. My focus is on designing unique, bespoke items tailored specifically to your vision and measurements, ensuring originality and craftsmanship in every piece.
If you have a garment you love, I can work with you to develop a design that captures the essence and style you want, while adding personalized details to make it truly yours.
At this time, I do not have a rental collection of ready-made garments available. However, I do offer make-to-rent garments, where each piece is bespoke-made specifically for you. You rent the garment directly from my atelier and return it after your event.
Otherwise, all garments are bespoke-made for purchase only. If you have questions about custom commissions or timelines, I’m happy to discuss what’s possible.
